Auger drilling soil with solid stem or hollow stem augers allows soils to be removed and SPT's to be taken at various undisturbed depths leaving an open hole for backfilling or well installations.
Mud rotary drilling is useful for drilling to deeper target depths with more stability and control through difficult or dense soils. Monitoring wells can also be installed in the remaining open hole.
Rock core drilling is a method for extracting the bedrock to analyze environmental impacts to the environment and the potential fractures and it's competency for structural purposes.
Our company can provide an electric and/or a battery powered core drills for any of our clients asphalt and concrete assessments. We also can utilize these core barrels on our drilling equipment.
Air rotary drilling is the process of using rotation and air which quickly crushes rock
(not providing a sample)
and assists to clearly gauge when groundwater is encountered.
Our limited access rig offers auger drilling and can provide accurate SPT samples indoors and low overhead clearances with an 8' 6" tower and a 6 ft tower! Great for those hard to get places!
Hydrogeological drilling is the process of retrieving geological data that deals with the distribution and movement of groundwater below ground surface. This can be analyzed through monitoring wells.
We can provide the appropriate sized machinery and we have certified/trained operators that would be needed for any excavation or test pits on our clients site. This is useful for environmental assessment.
We are employed with certified well technicians and are fully licensed to install monitoring / observation wells under Reg 903. in Ontario. Our employees use best practices in order to keep the environment clean.
Elements Geo can decommission monitoring wells and will provide the Ministry of the Environment well abandonment records under Ontario Regulation 903.
