Importance of Well Decomissioning
Monitoring well decommissioning is the process of safely closing and sealing monitoring wells that are damaged or no longer needed. It involves removing any equipment from the well, sealing the well with a Bentonite based product, and restoring the area to its original condition. This is according to the Ontario water well regulations to prevent groundwater contamination and ensure the protection of the environment.
